Chris is an Exploration and Resource Geologist with 18+ years’ experience in various geological domains and an AusIMM Chartered Professional under the Discipline of Geology.

He has provided technical and managerial direction on several successful exploration and development projects, including precious and base metals in green and brownfield environments.

Chris has designed and managed the exploration and resource definition activities for several JORC and NI 43-101 compliant Mineral Reserves and Resources.

He has varied industry experience and after graduating, he worked as an Engineering Geologist for a geotechnical site investigation company in the UK. Before becoming an independent consultant, he worked in the hydrocarbons industry as a Geologist and Formation Evaluation team leader for TGS-NOPEC, a leading geophysical company.

Chris consulted for a number of years on the world class iron-ore exploration and development project for Glencore and Zanaga Iron Ore Company in the Republic of Congo.

Chris was an integral member of the technical team that delivered a positive DFS at the Sanbrado Gold Project in Burkina Faso. He led the exploration team that made a new ultra-high grade gold discovery. His team more than doubled the existing resource whilst achieving a >70% resource to reserve conversion.

Currently, he is the Chief Operating Officer for Colossal Gold Resources in Suriname with full technical responsibility for the company’s gold exploration portfolio. As well as designing, directing and managing the operational and business strategies. Colossal Gold Resources aims to be a globally significant resource builder.
